As the world grapples with the escalating threats of climate change and conflict, the effectiveness of international law mechanisms and procedures is under unprecedented scrutiny. This event will explore the critical question: Has international law and the mechanisms offered by it risen to meet the challenge?

Our panel of International Law experts will engage in a dynamic discussion on the growing wave of participation in international courts and the procedural mechanisms being employed, the role of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the ever-increasing demands and expectations placed upon it,  the standing of state actors and the role and relevance of non-state actors. The conversation will also tackle the role of advisory opinions in shaping state actions and contributing to the development of international law.

Start your day with us at 8:30 am for a networking breakfast, followed by the panel event at 9 am.
