LIDW YAYAH’s 2024 Social with Law Rocks

The LIDW YAYAH social event returns for a third year.  In collaboration with Law Rocks, this year’s event will be held at Scala in King’s Cross, and will feature great food and drinks, an informal Q&A with Baiju Vasani and Kate Cervantes-Knox, networking opportunities and an unforgettable performance from Law Rocks, celebrating its 15th anniversary. 

 

What to expect

• Arrive and help yourself to a welcome drink from within YAYAH's own private space.
• Head to the main stage for this informal Q&A session where Baiju Vasani and Kate Cervantes-Knox will be discussing the ever-relevant topic of business development within the broader context of career progression.
• Baiju is a barrister and arbitrator at Twenty Essex, and is a renowned leader in ISDS, international commercial arbitration, and public international law as both counsel and arbitrator. Before joining the Bar in November 2022, he spent 20 years in international law firm practice, including 12 years as a partner.
• Kate is an independent arbitrator based in London, with extensive experience in complex international commercial and investment treaty arbitrations. For over 20 years Kate specialised in international arbitration in two leading global law firms, Linklaters and DLA Piper (12 years as a partner).
• Food will be available back in the YAYAH's private area with Law Rocks kicking off on stage. 

Tickets are £60 (+VAT), which includes access to LIDW YAYAH’s exclusive space at the venue’s Balcony Bar, a welcome cocktail, food from London’s very own Le Bab, and two drink tokens.  Tickets are available to purchase by completing the form below.

About LIDW Young and Young at Heart

LIDW Young and Young at Heart (“YAYAH”) represents the broad community of stakeholders in London’s dispute resolution community that consider themselves to be Young or Young at Heart. Over the last few years our mission has been to ensure that during London International Disputes Week we provide a social forum for members of this community to gather, exchange ideas and develop their network.

We are somewhat unique in that eligibility to form part of our community does not depend on age or role. However, in an effort to ensure that our mission doesn’t become lost amongst the multitude of events, we ensure that all YAYAH events are tailored and targeted towards the YAYAH community.  This is reflected in the type of events, speakers and themes we select for our educational events, as well as the venues and the “informal” nature of our social events.
